FROSTY GIVES BACK PRESENTED BY MIKE FROST & LANDY FROST GROUP

Frosty Gives Back is a remarkable evening of philanthropic holiday splendor. Founded in 2017, Frosty Gives Back has always been driven by a mission to provide vital support and financial resources to the underserved youth of Austin, a commitment that has evolved into an annual tradition of compassion and generosity. In the years since its inception, Frosty Gives Back has achieved remarkable success, raising over $400,000 for local youth-focused charitable organizations including Explore Austin, Lifeworks, The HOPE Gallery, and The Ronald McDonald House of Central Texas.

Being in the real estate industry, we recognize that the concept of "home" bears profound significance, manifesting differently for each individual. For children, we believe “home” should be a sanctuary where they can feel safe, thrive, learn, grow, and receive the nurturing care essential to realizing their full potential. This belief serves as the guiding principle behind Frosty Gives Back’s collaborative partnerships with local nonprofits. These partnerships are dedicated to fostering a sense of “home” in its most encompassing sense, whether by providing shelter and stability or by offering opportunities for children to explore their unique identities and unlock their potential through mentorship, outdoor adventures, or artistic pursuits.

Frosty Gives Back remains steadfast in its commitment to improving the lives of Austin's underserved youth, and we invite you to join us in this noble endeavor. Your sponsorship and support will contribute to a brighter, more promising future for the children and young families we aim to empower and inspire. Together, we can continue to build a compassionate community that truly makes a difference.

FROSTY GIVES BACK IS PROUD TO PARTNER WITH LIFEWORKS

LifeWorks was created in 1998 through the merger of Pathways Community Counseling, Child & Family Service, Teenage Parent Council of Austin, and Youth Options. The goal of the merger was to establish a continuum of support for youth and families experiencing crisis. The organization started with a budget of $6 million and has grown to nearly $20 million, employing 180 professional staff and operating 7 service locations.

LifeWorks' mission is to fearlessly advocate for youth and young adults to pursue a life they love and a stable future for themselves and their families. Their service philosophy is strengths-based and client-centered. Everyone who walks through their door is served with dignity and viewed through the lens of their potential and the goals they set for themselves.

LifeWorks has more than 50 years of experience working with homeless youth, youth aging out of foster care, young adults, and young parents. LifeWorks provides 19 programs under the categories of Housing, Counseling, and Education/Workforce. They have one of the most comprehensive continuums of housing and support options for vulnerable youth in the country, including Street Outreach, Emergency Shelter, Transitional Living, Young Parents Program, Rapid Re-Housing, and Permanent Supportive Housing. LifeWorks is active in local, state, and national efforts to end youth homelessness. LifeWorks Counseling programs provide one of the largest sources of community-based and psychiatric services to children, youth and families. Education and Workforce programs provide literacy and GED classes, HSE (High School Equivalency), workforce placement, and critical skill-building support. Youth and families may access one or multiple LifeWorks programs with continuity.

Every year, LifeWorks advocates for more than 4,000 youth and young families, many of whom are facing life‘s most difficult challenges including homelessness, trauma, and abuse. They have three core goals for the Austin community‘s youth:

Everyone deserves a home. On any given night, LifeWorks shelters or houses more than 140 youth, but they know the need is much greater. there are more than 1,600 homeless youth in Austin every year. Their primary goal is to end youth homelessness.

Everyone deserves to work. LifeWorks‘ youth often struggle to find their place in the workforce, so their commitment is to lower the barriers experienced by youth who have grown up in foster care or spent time on the streets through evidence-based, rapid employment.

Everyone deserves a chance to heal. Youth in foster care are twice as likely as U.S. Iraq War veterans to experience PTSD. LifeWorks counseling and psychiatric services offer a caring place for youth and young families to address conflict and trauma so that they can move forward.

Each of LifeWorks‘ 19 programs, as well as their collaborative, research, and advocacy efforts, are designed to promote these three pillars.
