Historic Downtown

Main Street Georgetown, and the greater downtown area, is one of the city’s main attractions. Beautifully restored historic buildings are home to locally owned restaurants, fun antique and craft stores, and one-of-a-kind coffee shops. The Williamson County Courthouse anchors Georgetown’s central square, where many of the downtown area’s dining and shopping spots are located.

Georgetown Art Center

This art center showcases a variety of art at its gallery in the downtown square. Monthly adult and youth art classes and workshops are also held at the art center and will be of interest to those who want to brush up on their skills.

Georgetown Palace Theater

See a top-class musical in this non-profit performing arts theater. Productions like Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan, and Legally Blond are held each season, which runs from October through July.

The Williamson Museum

The museum displays a comprehensive collection of photographs and other artifacts at its main location on the downtown square. Tours of the square, and the Williamson County Courthouse, are offered by the museum as well.

San Gabriel Park

The 180-acre natural area is full of 200-year-old oak trees and miles of hiking and biking trails that follow the river to Georgetown’s other parks. A nine-hole disc golf course, recreational center, and soccer and baseball fields can also be found within the confines of San Gabriel Park.

Berry Springs Park and Preserve

Enjoy the fresh air and take in the scenic views of Hill Country in this park. It features a 2.5-mile. hike and bike trail, campsites, picnic facilities, a pond and an ampitheater.

Jim Hogg Park

This park sits along San Gabriel River Trail and features lake access for boating and fishing and a 26-mile rugged hiking trail that winds through a dense forest and scenic prairie grasslands. Picnic areas and more than 140 campsites can be found within the park, which is open throughout the year.

Blue Hole

Just a few blocks downtown on the South Fork of the San Gabriel River lies this scenic lagoon. The park has picnic areas and wading spots where you can relax and have fun from dawn to dusk.

Inner Space Cavern

Explore a majestic Hill Country cave at Inner Space Cavern, located on the south side of Georgetown off of Interstate 35. Several kinds of tours are offered at the cave, which was discovered by a Texas Highway Department core drilling team in 1963. These tours include an adventure tour, ideal for all ages and skill levels, and a wild cave tour that takes visitors to undeveloped sections of the cavern.

Sweet Eats Fruit Farm

This fruit farm has been transformed into 4.5 acres of safari-themed corn maze paired with a giant 2-acre Texas-sized pumpkin patch filled with over 40 different varieties of pumpkins, fireworks (Fri & Sat nights in Oct.), pig races, petting zoo, pony rides, wagon rides, apple cannons, food trucks, live music and over 30 different activities that are included with the general admission ticket.

Blue Hole

This digital mural in the rotunda of the new City of Georgetown City Hall spans a circumference of 88ft. Inspired by the photos San Gabriel River, it's eye-catching and a must see!

Greetings from Georgetown Texas

On the west wall of Gus' Drug, you'll find this wide colorful mural, a perfect background for your photo op! Within the letters in “Georgetown”, historic and iconic locations are highlighted while on the right side, red poppy flowers are painted all over.

Jumping Around

Installed in 2015, this eye-catching mural creatively used the windows and doors to make it seem like it's part of the artwork - jackalopes situated on top while an armadillo is spotted on the ground.

Traditions of the Future

This mural shows the importance of nature, eco life, and traditional celebration with the painted fresh and vivid red poppy flowers in the front of the mural. It is also a tribute to the importance of the Red Poppy Festival to the town.

Georgetown Winery

Savor locally made award-winning wines at Georgetown Winery, located within a historic building in the downtown square. The winery opens its doors to oenophiles every day for tastings and purchases of bottles and other products.

Grape Creek Winery

Based in Fredericksburg, this tasting room features Grape Creek Winery’s assortment of wines with an upstairs lounge area and a large outdoor patio for Wine Club members.

Barons Creek Wine Room

Enjoy a good glass of wine and pair it with a selection of fine cheeses and meats on a charcuterie board or gourmet snacks such as chocolate-covered pretzels and Tomato Italiano gourmet pumpkin seeds.
